I had some people ask me this question recently and wanted to let everyone know the best places to go to sell your gold. When I sold my gold I did so at my local pawnshop but there are plenty of other places to sell to like:
Jewelry Stores - If you have an antique piece of jewelry or one that looks great still this is one of the better options to sell to. They can buy for more then gold content in the piece.
Scrap Gold Dealers - If you have broken or mismatched jewelry these guys will buy your gold. They sell to the gold refiners that smelt it down and its remade into other things.
Gold Refiners - These guys will buy any of your gold for the gold value of the gold content. If you can find one that will let you sell direct you should go with them.
